An essential component of the permission process required for any
new wind farm development is the environmental impact assessment.
Notwithstanding the “green”nature of wind farm power stations, their
potentially negative effect on the environment quality must be
assessed as
National
and European laws dictate.
The main environmental effects of wind farms are visual, noise and
bird collisions on rotating wind turbine blades.
International Wind Engineering
prepares
complete Environmental Impact Assessment*
(EIA) of wind projects taking into account effects on fauna and
flora, land use restrictions, visual intrusion, noise emissions from
operating wind turbines, local considerations etc. In collaboration
with the developer and the involved authorities we provide an
optimized wind farm layout acceptable by all interested parties.

International Wind Engineering staff are authorized by Greek State
to prepare and sign EIA studies according to National Law.
