Self-Supporting Masts

Permanent Meteorological Towers

Our company cooperates with Carl C. A/S, a Danish company highly experienced in manufacturing steel towers, foundation systems and accessories since 1969.

Self-supporting meteorological towers are used as permanent installations in wind farms. Due to its custom design, they are able to withstand wind and peculiar weather conditions (i.e. conditions encountered at high altitudes due to the icing phenomena).

The design of these meteorological masts is made according to the following primary standards:

  • EN 1990: Eurocode 0 “Basis of Structural Design”
  • EN 1991-1-4: Eurocode 1 “General actions – Wind actions”
  • EN 1993-1-1: Eurocode 3 “General rules and rules for buildings”
  • EN 1993-1-8: Eurocode 3 “Design of joints”
  • EN 1993-3-1: Eurocode 3 “Tower and masts”
  • IEC 61400-12-1: “Power performance measurements of electricity producing wind turbines”

The quality is assured by the following certificates:

  • EN 1090-1. Welded structures up to EXC 4 acc. to EN 1090-2.
  • 0200 - CPR - G.003 version 1
  • DS/EN ISO 9001 - certificate for Quality Management System
  • DK-FC-9001-132
  • DS/EN ISO 3834-2 - certificate for Production Control Quality requirements for welding
  • DK-FC-3834-2-002
  • DK-FDC-729-2-002
